Format
The ICC Cricket World Cup should have ten teams as it did in 2019. The format will be the same as in the 1992 and 2019 cricket world cups, with each side playing each other in a round-robin (randomly picked team) format. Finally, four teams will fight in a semi-final, with the top two going on to the final.
Qualification
The top eight nations, including host India, will automatically qualify, while the remaining two teams will be chosen for the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League matches in 2022-2023.
Teams qualified for the 2023 Cricket World Cup:
India, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, the West Indies, and New Zealand have all qualified for the World Cup in 2023.
The remaining nations, Sri Lanka, Ireland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the Netherlands, will compete in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, with two teams advancing to the World Cup.
